Scouting is a training and outdoor activities designed for young boys and girls. It promotes development of character, encourage formation of health habits , impart skills useful in everyday life and prepare them for service to society and fellow men and women.
Scouting was founded by Lord Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden Powell , popularly known as B.P.
Scout training is being given to the students regularly since 2006 under the able leadership of Scout Master Mr. Mukesh Kumar Thakur of our school. Mr. Mukesh Kumar Thakur is now District Training Commissioner of Kalimpong District Association of Bharat Scouts and Guides , Kalimpong. So far 13 scouts from our school have received Rajyapuraskar (Governor Award ) and one scout Rahul Roy Chowdhary has received Rashtrapati Puraskar (Prasident Award ) . Rahul Roy Chowdhary is the first scout from the ICSE Schools in Kalimpong who received President’s Award in 2014 in the field of scouting.

Saptashri Gyanpeeth has a very active Scouts and Guides contingent. Our students have won the numerous Rajya Puraskar and the Highest award on National level for Scouts and Guides- Rashtrapati Award ( Presidential Award) awarded by the President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee to Master Rahul Roy Chowdhary in 2015. This is in the history of Kalimpong that for the first time a student from an ICSE school received this award.
