Kalimpong is an east Indian hill town in the Himalayan foothills of West Bengal. The Bagdogra Airport is also known as the Civil Aerodrome Bagdogra and is situated 16 kms away from Siliguri in Darjeeling. It is so called because initially it was an airport base for Air Force and it has recently become an international as well as domestic airport.
